About Us

The first issue of “Mashiv HaRuach” was published at the time of the festivals in the month of Tishrei 1994, producing a wave of creativity in Hebrew poetry in general and among religious authors in particular. From the beginning, “Mashiv HaRuach” saw itself as a home for Jewish renaissance and for developing a new creative language. The pages of the periodical and the programs that emerged from them have since provided grounds for the growth and development of many influential creators, whom we helped foster. From that time to the present more than 100 issues of the periodical, anthologies, and books were published, hundreds of events took place, with the flagship program being the annual festival “Poetry Love Fest” (since 1997), dozens of “writing communities” and poetry workshops were held throughout the country, and 19 classes graduated from “Mizmor” – a poetry training program for up and coming poets.
